Cinzano Domino's Band - Struggling for your Life

OK. With the holidays behind us, it's back to real life... Entonces, what could be better than some extra rare 70s Ghanan Funk/Soul, and the lyrics are in English to boot! It is shameful that there does not seem to be any tracks posted or available anywhere from this amazing record. Without further ado...

Uglyman - Ugly Lover - 'Computer' & 'Easy No Man'

This one is around, but I really want to post it for my friend's birthday... Plus there is something endlessly pleasurable about a 1986 Dancehall Reggae song about computers! Riddim by Harry J! Jamaican Press. Play it loud! Also, here's a bonus live video! xo, -K

The Johnson Spiritual Singers - Don't Let the Devil Ride

Ok, I'm super stoked about this one, I promise you won't see it or hear it anywhere else... This is a private press form the Detroit area. Stelar raw gospel-blues all preformed and arranged by kids! Check out the cover-- you know it's gonna be good... I personally think this one deserves a Mississippi or Numero records reissue treatment, what do you think?

Track selection titles (in order):
Running for Jesus
It's Gonna Rain
Don't Let the Devil Ride

C.K. Mann and his Carousel 7 - Party Time with "Ceekay" - Osode Medley

Ok, one more... Fortunately, the brilliant C.K. Mann has a decent presence online, however, I have yet to see any tracks from this particular album. Here the Ghanan Highlife legend is doing 'Osode' tunes. Warning: this track takes up the whole side and is a full 25 minutes. So kick back and maybe get some work done while you enjoy the glory of "Ceekay"! ps. Also, this album has the amazing Kofi "Papa" Yankson on Congas!

Sawadogo Dominique - M'banga Yarga NĂȘ Pelga

For the first time digitally (so far as I can tell), I present Sawadogo Dominique! This is some bad ass percussion, string, and vocal-based 'Afro-folk' from Burkina Faso. Vinyl Pressed in Benin, 197?. Enjoy!

1st blog post!

Wow. My first blog post ever. Who cares, right?
Not me, I just want to share some awesome music I have on vinyl-- especially that which has little or no presence in the digital era, or stuff that really warrants exposure that hasn't had enough...so...let's get to it!
